Synopsis

-->

Submit brief synopsis of your play and the people with whom you will work and describe his or her role (actors and their roles). In your synopsis, give an idea of the narrative. In other words, you must explain the setting (time period, times of day, state, city, weather, etc), characters, point of view etc.. Finally, you must provide a thorough description of why you are choosing to tell this story. What is your point? Who is your target audience? What was your inspiration? This may NOT be a bulleted response, but a thorough and organized reflection.

Me: main planker
Kevin: Planking Filmer
Someone: Narrator/Filmer

This will be a mockumentary on planking. A well-trained planker, Me, and Kevin, the Filmer, are getting interviewed by the narrator. We talk about our techniques and make planking look like an intense and epic sport. We talk about how Planking is a lifestyle and a unique way of expressing one's self. I will also discuss the heavy workouts and mind preparation before going out for a Birch. There will be a few shots of Kevin filming and me running from place to place planking. I will be almost sprinting. I am choosing to tell this story because I think it will be funny as planking is definitely not a very body-intense sport. I will film in this around the school, or at los altos. This will preferably be filmed during the day but might include a few films at night. The Narrator will ask me and Kevin a few questions on the sport, and we will answer them. My target audience is pretty much everybody. My inspiration was the world-renowned film critic Jared Leake. I also am inspired by a youtube video of some people who run around rolling down stairs while wrapped in rugs and make it look like an underground and dangerous sport.

dialogue questions

1) Shawshank Redemption – parole scene:
Who are the characters involved?
Morgan freeman and a few lawyers.
What does each scene tell you about the characters?
Their is only one scene but we clearly see that morgan freeman does not care about his life anymore.
How does the dialogue influence the scene?
It makes it seem that morgan freeman cares so little about his life that he is emotionless during his parole scene.
How does the setting and actions affect the essence or mood of the film and upcoming scenes?
The setting  is very official, but morgan freeman calls their word "rehabilitated" bullshit, showing that he has no respect left for the establishment.
What can you gather from watching this scene?   Are you lead into thinking things about the characters or potential plot?  What is that?  Describe.
i can gather that morgan freeman no longer cares about his own life, as he has spent most of his life locked away. He describes himself as wishing he never committed murder.

It shows how smart and witty matt damon is, as he makes up a story on the spot and keeps speaking really fast. .
How does the setting and actions affect the essence or mood of the film and upcoming scenes?
It shows how much people want to hire will, as even the NSA really wants to hire him.
What can you gather from watching this scene?   Are you lead into thinking things about the characters or potential plot?  What is that?  Describe.
I can gather that matt damon will be a very high-placed individual, and the scene leads me into thinking that matt damon is super smart, and that he will probably always find something wrong with job offerings

Film review 3

1) In 50 words or less tell what the film was about.
Napoleon Dynamite was about an alienated high schooler who lives with his 34-year brother and grandmother. Napoleon is awkward and has almost no friends at school, but meets pedro, who recently moved from mexico. He helps pedro run for class president, and Pedro ends up winning.

2) What was more important/memorable/significant? The plot or the characters? Why?
The most important part of the movie was when Napoleon does his dancing skit in front of the entire school. It was a turning point for him. The character is most important in the movie, as he is funny to watch and it seems like he is always bored with life.

3) What did you take away from the film?
I didn't take anything away from this film, except that high school was a lot harder back then.
